LinkedIn

The main platform of the service: publishing, carousels and the only source of reach.

Section in the service: /settings#channels

Two routes lead to LinkedIn, and they do different things. The direct connection can only publish. Zernio publishes and brings statistics from the platform's official API — reach, the daily curve and the creator catalog card all rest on it.

What works

  • Publishing text up to 3000 characters.
  • Images and PDF: a PDF goes out as a carousel — LinkedIn's native format.
  • Link in the first comment: LinkedIn cuts reach for posts with external links in the body, so the link can be moved to a comment.
  • Statistics via Zernio: impressions, reach, reactions, comments, reposts, saves, shares, clicks, unique viewers and watch time.
  • The daily curve for a year back and the follower count.
  • Comments and direct messages — in the “Chats” section.

What's missing

  • Formatting isn't supported: bold and italic go out as markup characters, so it's better not to use them for LinkedIn.
  • The direct connection returns no statistics at all — numbers come only via Zernio.
  • Video and polls aren't published via the API.

If both routes are connected, the service picks one itself and says so in the post card: two routes to one account would duplicate the post in the feed.
